Corporate law belongs amongst VKP’s most important areas of practice. In co-operation with a number of notaries public and financial advisers, the office establishes companies, acts for them in registration procedures, organises general meetings, ensures updates of corporate documentation, and performs the due diligence of companies. VKP also provides trust services either itself or through its partners, including activity in the statutory and supervisory bodies of legal entities. The office is able to propose and implement the most appropriate structural solution for a client's business transactions with the use of our knowledge of Czech tax regulations and international treaties on the avoidance of double taxation. VKP prepares legal analyses of companies and all corporate legal issues. VKP’s especially rich experience includes joint stock companies and limited liability companies. VKP also provides dispute resolution between shareholders and the owners of business interests, proposes and mediates settlements and in cases necessary, represents the client in court and arbitration proceedings. Furthermore, VKP provides comprehensive legal services in mergers and acquisitions, divisions, changes in company legal structures, increase or decrease of registered capital, transfers and lease of enterprises. In co-operation with accounting and tax advisers and auditors, VKP provides the widest possible scope of services, including tax registration, book-keeping, representation in tax proceeding, and reporting the establishment of, and changes in, foreign investments to the Czech National Bank. VKP also offers a number of off-the-shelf companies, corporate addresses and secretarial services, including mail handling.
